On Wednesday, Samsung unveiled its latest offerings, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, alongside the Galaxy Watch 6 series and the Galaxy Tab S9 series at the highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event held in Seoul. These cutting-edge smartphones are the successors to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, respectively. Both devices are powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and run on the Android 13-based OneUI 5.1.1 operating system.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is available in three storage variants. The 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs. 1,54,999, while the 12GB + 512GB and 12GB + 1TB variants are listed at Rs. 1,64,999 and Rs. 1,84,999, respectively.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes in two storage options. The 8GB + 256GB variant has a price of Rs. 99,999, and the 8GB + 512GB variant has a price of Rs. 1,09,999. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is available in a wide range of colors, including Cream, Icy Blue, and Phantom Black, while the Blue and Grey color options are exclusively available on the company’s website.

Specifications and Features

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 features a 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex primary display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Additionally, it has a 6.2-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display as its cover screen. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 boasts a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex main display and a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED outer display in a folder-shaped design.

Both smartphones are has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and run on the Android 13-based OneUI 5.1.1 operating system. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 comes with 12GB of RAM and offers storage options of up to 1TB, while the Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes with 8GB of RAM and provides storage choices of up to 512GB.

In terms of photography, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 boasts a versatile camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens. The Galaxy Z Flip 5, on the other hand, features two 12-megapixel rear cameras. Both smartphones sport a 10-megapixel selfie camera.
